Update Regarding COVID-19
Did you know that your cash donation may provide a tax benefit? That could even be the case if you take the standard deduction. The CARES Act has expanded tax benefits for donations to nonprofit organizations. That is to encourage charitable giving this year.
As things are rapidly changing in our world, we feel it is important to share some changes we have made at Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County.
First, it is important to know DVS is still providing essential services to those in need – this includes emergency shelter, legal advocacy, and supportive housing. However, these services may look a little different. We have paused our support groups and non-essential, in-person appointments. Please know our support line is still available 24/7 to victims, family, and friends by calling 425-252-2873. These are uncertain times, but we are still able to help those in need to the fullest extent.
With all this being said, it is a tough time for all. Studies show increases in domestic violence incidents during natural disasters. This is no different. Please consider making a financial contribution to allow us to continue these crucial services. You can donate online by following this link: https://dvs-snoco.org/support-us-donation-options/.
We will re-evaluate all temporary closures, make necessary adjustments, and continue to keep you updated. If at any time you have questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to our Administrative Offices at 425-259-2827.
We thank you for your continued support. Together we will make it through!
